About

A-Train 2001 is best played with the Sony Broadband Adapter and Hard Disk Drive. The reason for this is that each save requires almost an entire memory card of space. With the HDD you can save more than one file to the disk. Having the HDD also allows you to install the game for faster loading and save screenshots taken in-game to the disk to transfer to a PC later. Transfering screenshots can be done with a tool from the Artdink website or by using a homebrew file manager such as ulaunch.

A-Train 2001 uses the same engine as A-Train 6, also for the PS2. The game features numerous improvements over its predecesor, the largest of which is likely the new high-speed mode. A-Train 2001 allows speed to travel very quickly by hiding the game from view as time passes, while still featuring the speed settings of A-Train 6 for more laid back gameplay.

Translation

I am working on a translation for the game in my spare time. The game is simple enough to understand without requiring a translation, but this should make it more accesible to a wider audience.
